L. Kevin Kelly has lived and worked all over the world. As chief executive of Heidrick & Struggles, Kelly transformed an already successful company into a modern global leadership-consulting firm operating in 60 countries.
As early as 2000 Kelly’s expertise played a pivotal role in defining the new terms of engagement between technology and talent with creative joint ventures encompassing NASDAQ and the Economist Intelligence Unit. He also collaborated with the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program.
As CEO of Halo Privacy, a leading cybersecurity firm, Kelly has emerged as a prominent privacy activist. He continues his leadership consultancy with both Fortune 500 companies and multiple trade groups, fostering talent for a perpetually changing global operating environment.
Kelly is the author of three previous books, including “CEO-The Low Down on the Top Job”, “Top Jobs–How They are Different and What You Need to Succeed” and “Leading in Turbulent Times”.
Lt. General John F. Mulholland entered the U.S. Army as an infantry officer in 1978. In 1983 he joined the 1st Special Forces Regiment, subsequently commanding from the captain through lieutenant general levels.
Following graduation from the National War College in 2001, Mulholland assumed command of the 5th Special Forces Group, Airborne, at Fort Campbell, KY. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks on the United States Colonel Mulholland commanded Joint Special Operations Task Force-North (Task Force Dagger) in the opening days of Operation Enduring Freedom. He later commanded Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-West in the initial campaign of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Mulholland completed his final tour on active duty as the Associate Director of Military Affairs, Central Intelligence Agency. Since 2016 he has been principal of Mulholland Consulting in Alexandria, Va.
Kevin McDermott is the founder of Collective Intelligence in New York. He is also a principal in the well-known scenario-planning firm, Futures Strategy Group.
Working in countries around the world McDermott has served an international client portfolio that includes General Motors, IBM, Innosight, A.T. Kearney, Korn-Ferry, MasterCard Advisors, McKinsey & Co., Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Spencer Stuart, United Way of America, and financial-services startups.
McDermott spent the early part of his career as an award-winning reporter and editor covering international trade and economics. His international bylines included reporting from France for The Washington Post and Saveur, from the United Kingdom for The New York Times, and from Haiti for The Atlantic.
